Op-Ed Project

The statistics were so dismal that Katie Orenstein had to do something – the opinionators of the world were men, white men, middle age to older white men. Where were the opinions and ideas of the rest of us? The Op-Ed Project teaches women, other people of color, and other underrepresented voices how to claim their expertise and make cogent arguments for their points of view. Through a variety of formats from one-time workshops to ongoing programs, the Op-Ed Project brings out their inner pundit. Skilled leaders encourage participants to write op-eds, offering professional editing, and helping to place those op-eds where the right audiences can see them.
