The Network of Elected Women is NEW, for short, and also new, founded by Allison Fine in 2019. Unless you’ve worked up close and personal with a woman running for or serving in elected office, you can’t imagine the unique and yes, new, challenges these women must conquer. There’s no instruction book, say the women who are often the first of their gender to seek or hold an office. NEW provides structure for peer-to-peer support, networking, sharing of best practices. We’re pleased to have contributed the seed funding that made it possible.
