Moving Windmills
We met William Kamkwamba long before he gained international fame as “The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind.” That is also the name of William’s best-selling book and a feature film about his life (it’s on Netflix). But first, he was a TED Fellow. (That’s how we met him.) Tom Rielly, who created the TED Fellows program, began documenting William’s remarkable story in real time. He decided to make a feature-length documentary, originally titled “Moving Windmills.” The film was retitled when it was released. “William and the Windmill” won the SXSW Grand Jury Prize.
