The #MeToo movement for Black women is complex, explored thoughtfully in this documentary, with a number of women telling of their experiences with hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, who has never faced legal consequences for these accusations. Sexual assault, sexual harassment, the derailing of promising careers, when Black women and other people of color have stories to tell, they don’t often find someone they can trust to tell it well. This film tells it well. (Yes, it’s the one Oprah thought wasn’t ready for Sundance, the rest of the world except Russell Simmons disagreed.)
