Vanderbilt University and the Jade Pasley Fund video

At the heart of almost every nonprofit enterprise is the energy and passion of one person who sees a need and seeks to fill it.
So it is with the Jade Pasley Fund at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Jade and her twin, Jillian, went through years of battling cancer together. Jillian continues the fight, with her brother and parents supporting her every step of the way. In memory of Jade, Jessica and Irvin Pasley created the Jade Pasley Fund to meet the emergency short-term financial needs of parents whose children are being treated for serious illnesses. The Pasleys know how easy it is to fall behind, whether it's because finances are stretched or because nobody's picking up the mail and paying the bills while the family is gathered around a hospital bed.
Ruth Ann Harnisch and Jessica Pasley were colleagues when both were journalists at the Nashville Banner, so they know that a well-told story inspires action. A grant from The HF funded the production of a video telling the story of the Jade Pasley Fund, which is used to introduce the work to prospective donors and to show current donors how their contributions are making a difference.
