We love this one – somebody (Phil Bredesen, then Nashville Mayor, now Tennessee Governor) had a great idea in 1989.
Pick up all the food that restaurants, supermarkets, and commercial food preparers won’t be using. Distribute to hungry people. Now part of Nashville’s Second Harvest Food Bank (another idea we love at The HF: non-duplication of effort!), The HF is proud to have supported this great idea from the beginning.
