We love a multi-tiered solution, and this one addresses a multi-tiered problem.
The situation: women with a history of prostitution and drug addiction need help in getting clean, getting off the streets, getting legitimate work, getting their kids back.
Since 1997, Magdalene has been operating in Middle Tennessee. Today it's a two-year residential community where women are offered a safe, disciplined, and compassionate community - free. The HF has contributed several grants since 2002 that contribute to providing for the women, including health care, coaching, job training, micro-savings assistance, housing, and help in regaining custody of their children.
