Do you know what makes your community tick? Do you know who has the real power? Who to call to get things done? In many cities, there's a leadership program that connects the area's most powerful people representing diverse constituencies.
Leadership Nashville was one of the first in the country, and served as a model for dozens of other programs around the world. Founded in 1976, a carefully curated cross-section of established leaders is chosen every year. These people, representing a variety of professions, political interests, economic backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, geographical origins and interests, meet once a month for intense days of confronting issues facing the community.
The way these classes keep up with each other is through the annual directory of participants. The Harnisch Foundation has underwritten the directory since 1999.
