If the problem of poverty in the world seems just too big to solve, break it down. That's what the Acumen Fund is doing. It takes philanthropic capital and invests that money in for-profit businesses that have a social benefit. The Harnisch Foundation invests in the Acumen Fellows program, training the next generation of leaders to manage Acumen's portfolio of "patient capital."
